According to the Daily Mail, Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund are keen on acquiring wantaway Gunners striker Nicklas Bendtner this summer.
The German champions were interested in the self titled ‘Best Striker in the World’ last summer, but Wenger stood strong on his £10 evaluation of the Danish international, so nothing concrete eventuated leading to a last minute season long loan with Sunderland.
He has flourished at times this season scoring 8 goals with 5 assists in his 28 appearances for the Black Cats, but his time at the Emirates is clearly over with the 24-year-old admitting he does not want to return to Arsenal.
With the upcoming Euro 2012 tournament in his sights, the tall striker may hope this options improve if he can continue his fine form on the international stage. Bendtner is believed to be worth a cheap £2.5million but he is likely to command wages of £60,000 a week that could rise to £90,000 depending on bonuses/performances.
The ‘Great Dane’ has unfortunately been getting himself into a fair bit of mischief that has dented his reputation even further after being arrested twice this season, and then prior to the final match of the season he missed the team bus so consequently he was dropped and then was caught ‘driving erratically’ after the match by police.

Despite this I’m surprised that his evaluation is so low, and hopefully a decent show in the Euro 2012 will help to bump up his price tag and this can be last we see of the Danish international on Arsenal and English soil.
