According to The Sun, Lazio defender Stefan Radu, who is a known target of the Gunners, could be heading to England this summer after his agent admitted they are engaging in talks with a Premier League side.
The Romanian back has been strongly linked with Arsenal and both Manchester clubs over the past year, and now the 25-year-old’s agent has revealed there is some truth in the rumours with three clubs keen on the highly-rated defender.
His agent Viktor Becali said:
We are working with someone in England.
There are three clubs that are very interested in Stefan.
If we were to receive a good offer and Lazio were to accept, then he could leave.

Otherwise, he is happy to remain in Rome. He is under contract until 2016.
With Johan ‘Eyebrows’ Djourou looking more likely to move on, is Radu the answer? He joined Lazio initially on loan from Dinamo Bucharest in 2008 before signing permanent terms with the club, and has become captain for the 2011/12 season.
Ideally Arsenal want someone in the mould of Vertonghen who can be versatile and is a proven talent at the highest level, but it will be tricky trying to lure someone of the Belgian’s calibre as the Gunners already have three top class central defenders.
We must also keep in mind that the highly rated Ignasi Miquel will be pushing for more first team opportunities and with Kyle Bartley returning from his successful loan spell at the Ibrox, perhaps Wenger will keep faith in the young duo and give them more opportunities to play rather than replacing Djourou.
Either way I wouldn’t read into too much of Radu’s rumours as it is more the media thinking he will be a good fit at the Emirates then any advances from the Gunners. So what do you guys think, is it time for Wenger to get a replacement for Djourou or does he give more opportunities to Miquel and Bartley?
