Stevan Jovetic has announced his intention to leave the Florence based outfit, stating he feels he needs to test himself at a top club – with Juventus a possible destination.
Stevan Jovetic has stunned Fiorentina by revealing that he intends to leave this summer and would be open to a Juventus move.
Jovetic, 23, scored 13 times in 31 league games and has been linked with a plethora of top European clubs of late, including Arsenal and Chelsea following this season’s exploits with fourth-placed Fiorentina.
According to ViolaNews ,Jovetic was quoted saying :
I’ve been at Fiorentina in 2008, five very intense seasons.
I really feel like I’ve given everything. I’m young and ambitious and it is normal to feel the need to test myself elsewhere. I do not think there’s anything wrong with desire.
Florence and the Viola fans have always asked me to be upfront: so here it is. I need stimulation elsewhere, I need to devote myself in a top club. I’ve played in Europe with Fiorentina, now I want to win in Europe.

For a year Juventus have said they want me.
I come before Ibrahimovic, Tevez and Higuain in their list. Who would you not be flattered?
With Conte I feel that I could continue to grow. I think the feeling is mutual.
But the Premier League is also fantastic championship, as is La Liga. I have some opportunities so we’ll see.
Jovetic is currently valued at €30m and has been linked in recent months to Juventus, Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.
Juve chiefs Beppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici are also keen on Jovetic and feel his international teammate Mirko Vucinic’s presence will convince the Viola star to move to Turin.
Even though Fiorentina will be hesitant in selling their prized asset to their rivals,it now looks that the interest between Jovetic and Juventus is mutual. It looks like Jovetic is preferring to stay in Italy and Juve looks the likely destination. Although it’s still not a done deal it is expected to go through in the next few weeks.
Arsenal fans will again be disappointed in missing out on their top transfer target again this summer. But luckily there are better strikers available on the market this season and Arsenal were linked with most of them. Arsenal are favourites to land Gonzalo Higuain as rumours yesterday in the past few days suggested that Arsene Wenger spoke to his father and a deal might materialise in the coming weeks and Arsenal are also readying a package to bring Rooney to the emirates stadium. So all is not lost.
Do you think loosing Jovetic will be a setback for Arsenal transfer plans this summer?
