Mertesacker ticks almost all of the boxes: tall, strong, agile, international experience, good leader. The only aspect that he lacks in Premier League experience, do you think the giant German is the missing ingredient in our backline? He will add so much to defensive but also offensive set pieces so if we get him for the ‘right price’ and he has ‘the right quality to be an arsenal player’ (sorry to go all Wenger on ya) then he could be a great asset.
