According to Balague, Samir Nasri has come out and ended speculation of a possible transfer move by stating that he will remain at the Emirates this season and may yet sign a new contract subject to how well Arsenal’s season unfolds.
Nasri has been subject to intense speculation about his future this summer after he refused to sign a contract extension with both Manchester clubs interested in the services of our young, but extremely talented versatile midfielder. However, Arsene Wenger ruled out selling to a rival club and maintained Nasri would be forced to see out the remaining year on his contract despite the risk of him on a Bosman free next summer.
Nasri has now told Wenger he is happy to remain in North London for the coming season, and the Spanish journalist even suggested Nasri could be persuaded to sign a new contract if the Gunners have a good start to the season and a strong run in the Champions League.
What do you think? This could all be speculation as usual however this would be a great boost to the Arsenal faithful if Nasri does indeed resign as he will be a key figure in this seasons grueling quest for silverware.
