Belgian maestro Eden Hazard has been hot property for some time now with the world’s elite clubs all keeping tabs on the youngster, including the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and our very own Arsenal.
While a few of these clubs are definitely not lacking in the financial department, it has been reported that Paris St. Germain are set to offer £45m for the highly rated youngster in January, which is rumoured to eclipse what Real Madrid are ready to offer.
Jean-Michel Vandamme, Hazard’s agent, recently said on the situation:
Eden is certainly willing to stay at Lille at least until next summer. Chelsea has been following him the closest.
The Spaniards have not manifested themselves yet, but I think they are playing it smart and will call when they know they have to – I’m talking about Real, but also about Barcelona.
The buyer will have to come up with a lot of money – let us say he is not currently to go for less than £40million.
Well, it is safe to say that against the likes of Manchester City, PSG and Real Madrid the gunners have very little to no chance of securing the Belgian maestro with the limited funds at their disposal. With PSG already dwarfing the Ligue 1 transfer record last summer with a successful £37.5m bid for Argentine Javier Pastore, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if they flexed their financial musles again to try and secure the services of this extremely promising player.
