The Spanish international impressed a whole host of clubs after his performances at the Under-17 World Cup, but it is rumoured that Spanish Arsenal scout Francis Cagigao persuaded the young Spaniard to continue his development at the Emirates.
It is reported that Wenger will offer the youngster a five year contract next season with Arsenal negotiating with Real Madrid over compensation.
The rumoured deal follows a recent trend with the gunners, who started first with a young Cesc Fabregas followed more recently by the signings of Hector Bellerin and Jon Toral from Barcelona.
Although the Madrid midfielder looks good, it still doesn’t solve any immediate problems with the current team which is a worry of mine personally and possibly a worry among Arsenal fans.
I am hoping of course that all of these youngsters actually commit to Arsenal rather than use it as a stepping stone for their careers. We don’t really want a mass Fabregas debacle with all this talent leaving when they finally hit their prime!
