Arsenal playmaker Santi Cazorla has hailed teammate Alexis Sanchez as one of the best players in the world with the Chilean enjoying a sensational first season at the club, the Spaniard told Arsenal Fan TV.
Alexis has already notched up 24 goals in all competitions despite predominantly playing from the left, surpassing everyone’s expectations.
His move confirmed what many had anticipated once we signed Mesut Ozil in 2013, that the club was now operating at the highest level of the market and was intent on attracting top talent.

Cazorla himself represented a marquee signing in 2012 and he’s delighted to be playing alongside Alexis.
“He’s a top player,” Cazorla said about the 26-year-old.

“We are lucky that he’s part of our team and he’s a very good person.
“He works hard every day in training and I think he’s one of the best players in the world.”
Barcelona’s forward-line is frightening and given that they were happy to let a player of Alexis’s calibre go proves exactly that. Scoring 21 goals in all competitions last season, the £35m man has disproved the notion that foreign stars need time to settle into the Premier League after reaching new heights.
Alexis can feel aggrieved to not be handed the PFA Player of the Year award, but he’ll certainly be challenging for all the individual – and hopefully collective – honours next season.
