Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly ready to battle it out for AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli this summer, according to reports in Daily Mail.
The 23 year old has been in great form this season scoring 18 goals in 41 appearances for AC Milan in all competitions and has been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates.
The AC Milan striker is sick of the racism he suffers in Italy and it is understood the former Manchester City star realises life in England was not so bad. Liverpool and Arsenal are the clubs reportedly interested in luring him back to the country where he produced plenty of madness on and off the price but also some special moments in a City shirt.
It further states that the Gunners are in talks with Real Madrid to sign Karim Benzema but will also talk to the Italian’s representatives. Liverpool will move in for Balotelli if Luis Suarez is lured away to Real Madrid or Barcelona after the World Cup.
The Italian is enormously gifted and anyone who has seen him in action is instantly struck by his awesome combination of strength and skill. He has power, pace and technical ability and can play in a handful of attacking positions. Few strikers offer such an enthralling combination of physical power and technical excellence.
His goal return is also pretty good, but he still needs a lot of work. He’s a great striker on his day, but needs to become more of a team player, be willing to help out the defence and develop some positional discipline at times. Not to mention his wild behaviour.

Arsenal need to bring in another striker this summer as they have been heavily reliant on Olivier Giroud. Balotelli’s pace and precision inside the box will add another dimension to the Gunners attack. He is still only 23 and he could well be the missing link for us, but his attitude on and off the pitch leaves much to be desired.
We will face some tough competition from Liverpool, but there is a slim chance of Suarez leaving Anfield this summer, which should leave Arsenal in pole position to snap up Balotelli. There is also the added bonus of PUMA’s involvement as the players sponsors, and they’ve even reportedly expressed an interest to help get Balotelli in an Arsenal shirt.
