Arsenal are reportedly preparing a £12 million take-it-or-leave-it offer in an attempt to sign Loic Remy from Queens Park Rangers at the end of the season, according to reports in the Metro.
The 27 year old who is currently on a season long loan at St James Park from QPR, has been impressive scoring 13 goals in the Premier League this season building on some promising performances during his debut campaign in England last year.
The report states that the Gunners are ready to firm up their interest in Remy by making a bid for him at the end of the season. Wenger recently confirmed that he is fan of Remy and is ready to put his money where his mouth is with a £12 million offer before the World Cup. It further states that it will be a take-it-or-leave it bid, with Arsenal not willing to go any higher for the forward.
The Frenchman joined the Rangers in January 2013 for reported wages worth £75,000-per-week. The striker then joined Newcastle United on a season-long loan last summer following QPR’s relegation to the Championship. He has performed exceptionally for Alan Pardew in the first half of the campaign, but has lost his scoring touch in recent times due to injury troubles.
The Magpies would be hoping to seal a permanent move for the striker, who will return to QPR at the end of the season, but it is very unlikely he would remain there with interest from Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspurs and even Bayern Munich.

He has superb acceleration and likes to make runs off the shoulders of defenders. However, he’s more than just a speed merchant and is also an effective dribbler. He could play alongside, as well as instead of Giroud and he has even played wide right for both Marseille and France.
It’s a known fact that the Gunners need atleast one striker this summer, as the club are heavily reliant on Olivier Giroud this season. Yaya Sanogo is still very raw and Bendtner is set to leave when his contract expires in June, so arguably we need to bring in two front-men.
Arsenal desperately lack a central striker with pace and Remy has the speed required to race in behind and meet the intelligent through-balls offered up by the likes of Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla. His presence would instantly add another dimension to Arsenal’s attack and he’s proven he can cut it in the Premier League. However, I feel we should bring in another marquee name as well to ensure we have a variety of options up front next season.
