Arsenal look set to miss out on Palermo striker Paulo Dybala, as the youngster would rather stay in Serie A next season, claims the Daily Mirror,
The 21-year-old had been attracting our interest following a good season in Italy. Dybala has scored 13 goals in 32 games, helping his side to a comfortable mid-table position with five games to go.
According to the report, Manchester City were also keen on making a bid for the Argentinian, who is yet to make an appearance for the full national side.
However, it is Juventus – who are on course for their fourth consecutive Scudetto, and could seal the title in their next game – who are favourites for his signature. The Mirror report that Inter Milan’s sporting director Javier Zanetti has confirmed that his side will also make an offer.
Despite the apparent snub, it is perhaps fortunate that we will miss out on the £30m man. His style of play is about being creative, and at a club at Palermo, he certainly has the opportunity to stand out. However, we have numerous creative players already in our squad.

Also, for a striker to cost as much as he would, you would expect a goalscoring record of nearly a goal a game for the season, if not better. As it is, it is difficult to imagine Dybala managing to consign Olivier Giroud to the bench.
