Arsene Wenger is reportedly set to rekindle his interest in Greek defender Kostas Manolas who we came close to signing last summer, the Daily Star reports.
Manolas moved to Roma last summer from Olympiacos after the Italian side beat us to the signing having met the £11million asking price, according to the report.
However, it seems as though the 24-year-old will be on the move again this summer and Wenger may be set to reignite his interest for the Greece international, according to the Daily Star.
Any links to central defenders this summer can almost be completely ignored by fans given the depth of options we currently have in those positions.
Having four central defenders in your squad is standard practice when aiming to compete for a number of trophies and we have exactly that.

Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny, Gabriel and Calum Chambers make up our central defensive options in an area where we have significant depth.
Unless a world-class option becomes available, it is really difficult to see Wenger adding another centre-back.
