Arsenal have signed youth product Kaylen Hinds to his first professional contract, a forward the Gunners have high hopes for.
Hinds, pictured above with academy boss Andries Jonker, has represented the Gunners at U18, U19 and U21 levels this season while he has also represented England at youth level.
The 17-year-old made a name for himself at U19 level, netting three goals in as many outings helping his side to the last 16 of the Uefa Youth League.
Jeorge Bird, a youth team blogger and expert, describes the local Islington boy as able to operate behind the striker or deeper in midfield.
A statement on the club’s official website read:
Everyone at Arsenal would like to congratulate Kaylen on his contract and looks forward to his continued development at the club.
Congratulations to Hinds for earning himself a professional deal with the club. While he may certainly be an exciting up and coming talent he has a long road ahead of him to forge his way into Arsene Wenger’s first team plans.
