Arsenal captain Mikel Arteta has warned our rivals that the progress we’ve made this season coupled with our resources means that there remains no limit to how far we can go, our matchday programme reports (via Arsenal.com).
Arteta has been absent for the majority of this campaign due to various injury problems, but has always maintained the role of club captain off the pitch, and his recent comments are a reflection of that.
As we prepare for our second FA Cup final in succession, Arteta believes the club is well placed to achieve all our aims and insists that our journey to success ought to be an endless tunnel.
“Now we want to build momentum and the best way to do that is by being consistent on the pitch and winning trophies,” the skipper was quoted as saying.
“We are in a really strong position – I think we are getting better in all areas.

“That evolution must continue because the potential of this club is limitless. Let’s take advantage of that.”
As we transition from the sensitive period we experienced due to the stadium move, our financial clout and the quality of our squad indicates that coming first in every competition should be our priority.
This season has felt like another missed opportunity considering our form this calendar year; however, it is time for us to make sure that having annual excuses during May doesn’t become a consistent theme.
This summer is arguably our most crucial of the past few years and coming out of the close-season successfully would be one major step to repositioning ourselves at the pinnacle of English football.
