Arsenal are fresh off a huge 4-0 away win in Prague and have advanced to a Europa League semi-final, in a very welcome boost to under-pressure boss Mikel Arteta, however a transfer story is percolating in the background.
According to a report in The Times, goalkeeper Bernd Leno has surprisingly opened the door to an exit, with his contract still to run until 2023, but the German has suggested he may be interested in a ‘new adventure’.

It would be quite a blunder if Leno is to facilitate an early exit this summer, with the Gunners definitively making him number one last year and showing such confidence that they sold Emiliano Martínez to Aston Villa – the Argentine has been a star in the Premier League since rocking up in the Midlands.
The report carries the quotes from the 29-year-old stopper, that could yet see the former Leverkusen-man sign an extension, but there are some interesting takeaways from the response when asked about new contract talks;
“No, not yet and I think at the moment it is not the time to speak about the future.”
“I know that I have still two years contract left. I am also 29, I think for a goalkeeper this is not too old. So I still have some years to go.”
“I am very happy at the club, I don’t know what will come in the future. But I am open to everything. Maybe for a new adventure or to stay at Arsenal.”
“Like I said, at the moment I don’t think about my future because two years is still a long time. At the moment there are no conversations with the club or something else.”
