David Ospina looks set for an Arsenal exit this summer, with the arrival of Petr Cech meaning one of our other shot-stopper more than likely has to make way, as reported by the Express.
The Colombian has been linked with a move to Everton over the last few days, and his recent comments suggest that a move to Goodison Park is definitely on the cards (via the Express).
“They are a very competitive team, which showed significant things during the last season,” Ospina said, as quoted by the Express.
“With a good manager and they play good football, it is a team to take into account and a great possibility.”
The 26-year-old was extremely solid last season, and deservedly usurped Wojciech Szczesny as our first choice shot-stopper. Due to the Pole’s homegrown status and the fact that he arguably has more potential however, if Arsene Wenger is planning on offloading one of our shot-stoppers it seems likely to be Ospina.

Everton have allegedly already made a €7m bid (via Calcio Mercato), but nothing is finalised yet and the World Cup star doesn’t seem fazed by Cech’s arrival. He insists he is looking forward to learning from the Czech international, and has suggested that he could possibly still remain at the club.
“Now an excellent keeper has arrived who I admire. During my holidays I’m analysing a lot of things and then I’ll have a conversation with the manager,” he continued.
“For me it will be an honour to play alongside a keeper with that experience. A goalkeeper keeps learning every day.”
Arsenal fans would obviously be thrilled if we were to have three top quality international goalkeepers at our disposal. But it’s difficult to see all three being kept happy throughout the season.
