Petr Cech is just two clean sheets away from the all time Premier League clean sheets record, and could equal that record if we can keep West Bromwich Albion out this weekend.
The former Chelsea shot-stopper is currently on 168 clean sheets, just one behind David James’ record of 169 (via Sky Sports). It’s only a matter of time before the Czech international breaks the record, but it could be as early as next weekend.
A clean sheet against West Brom would put him that much closer to the record, and would hopefully have James sitting at home crying and wondering what he’s done with his life.
Cech has been a revelation since his arrival, and has been key to our defensive stability this season. He has proven to be one of the signings of the season, and will no doubt continue to prove key as the campaign wears on.

Chelsea and Jose Mourinho may be regretting letting him go, as while we’ve been defensively superb, they have been absolutely woeful. Cech unquestionably earns points for his side with his individual quality, but will it be enough to help guide us to the title?
