Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey seemed comfortable with Arsene Wenger re-positioning him out wide after our team experienced a reshuffle in midfield in our 2-1 win against Crystal Palace, he told Arsenal Player.
Ramsey has previously made noise about his unhappiness when positioned on the right (via the Mirror), however, his return to the centre deeply affected the balance of our side against West Ham United.
Santi Cazorla was handed the central role against Palace, and the Spaniard showed flashes of what we witnessed last season, with the 30-year-old at the heart of everything good about our display.
For Ramsey, he was happy to have been given more license to come inside.

“It was the manager’s decision and he tweaked things around,” Ramsey explained.

“He told me to try and get in between the lines, not stay outside, to come inside and I thought I did that by getting into some dangerous positions.
“I had a couple of chances and maybe on another day they would’ve gone in. I’m just happy for the team, for Olivier to get his goal and to get the win.”
Few can argue that the balance of our team looks more fluid with Cazorla played central next to Francis Coquelin, leaving the wide positions as the only option for Ramsey to get into the side.
Our performance on Sunday mirrored those produced by the team towards the back-end of last season and we’ll need to continue the intensity in order to stay in the hunt.
Manchester City looks like the team to beat at the moment, but we can certainly match them all the way if we show the same consistency in our performances that we showed earlier this year.
