Arsenal star Shkodran Mustafi has insisted that the Gunners will continue to play the ball from the back despite the recent defensive errors (via The Metro).
It’s clear that Arsenal are still in the learning process when it comes to Unai Emery’s desired style of play.
The Spaniard’s desire to play out from the back is evident but the Gunners have struggled to do so on occasions and it has almost ended in calamity.
Shkodran Mustafi grabbed the opening goal of the game and has spoken about the defensive mistakes which almost cost the side all three points.
“It’s a process. We have tried everything in pre-season but then when you make a mistake in pre-season it’s not that bad,” Mustafi said after the match.
“In the Premier League, you don’t want to make those mistakes, but you have to show your personality because we are a big football club with big players.

“We have to show the personality that we can play from the back because that’s our football and that’s how it suits us to play. We just have to keep working on that.
“Hopefully, in a few games, we’re going to look a bit more comfortable.”
It certainly is an ongoing process for Arsenal as they come to grips with Unai Emery’s style of play. Shkodran Mustafi has actually started the season extremely well and hopefully, that will continue.
