Arsenal star Hector Bellerin has warned our rivals that his teammates are going into the new season believing that they can beat any team in the world, he told Arsenal Player.
Bellerin cited our form in the second half of the campaign, which included a run of eight consecutive victories, and the Spaniard revealed that confidence within the squad is high.
The 20-year-old’s personal experience last year almost optimised that of the entire squad, stuttering early on before exploding into life following the turn of the year.

“I’m really, really excited for the new season,” Bellerin told our in-house media channel.
“The way we finished this season, the team have really come together and we’ve had some great performances, especially since the New Year.

“The team really feel like we can beat any team in the world with the performances we’ve had, so we’re all really, really excited to hopefully start the season with the right mindset and with the right results.”
Mathieu Debuchy was signed as Bacary Sagna’s replacement, but the sequence of events last season has meant that Bellerin is going into the new campaign as our first choice right-back.
The former Barcelona academy product offers a real threat going forward and is improving defensively on a weekly basis, with his pace a wonderful asset when defending 1v1 against wingers.
