Arsenal playmaker Santi Cazorla has converted the most amount of penalties in the Premier League this season with a 100% record ahead Steven Gerrard and Eden Hazard.
Mikel Arteta has always been our first choice penalty taker, but due to his injury problems this season, Cazorla has stepped up to the plate and converted in some big moments.
A penalty is often described as the only lottery in football; but when you possess the natural abilities that Cazorla does, scoring from 12 yards becomes a simple task.
Arsenal transfer news
Facing good shot stoppers such as West Ham’s Adrian and Manchester City’s Joe Hart hasn’t deterred Cazorla one bit. As well as those two strikes, he’s also netted against Stoke City, Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.
Most of his goals have come from the spot this season, but that is more down to Wenger shifting the Spanish magician into a deeper role since the turn of the year.
