We are repeating ourselves for the hundredth time, but Francis Coquelin has been superb since being recalled from loan at the end of 2014. He has been the rock in midfield that we have missed for so long, and has really impressed in front of the back four.

It’s easy to see the impact he has had since breaking into the first team, as we have looked far more defensively stable with him in the side.
Just in case anyone had any doubts about the quality he has been showing however, Squawka have provided us with some telling stats that prove just how fantastic the Frenchman has been.
The 23-year-old has topped the Premier League’s list for most tackles made in 2015, eclipsing the likes of Nemanja Matic at Chelsea.

It’s too soon to tell whether Coquelin can be the long term solution to our midfield woes, but he is certainly staking his claim in the role.
Arsene Wenger may look to dip back into the market come the summer, but for the moment his compatriot is an excellent option to have available.
