Per Mertesacker claims Arsenal need a couple of days to recover from the crushing defeat against Olympiacos this past Tuesday night, but that there will be a reaction ahead of our clash with Manchester United this weekend.

We were truly poor against both Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiacos, and our Champions League aspirations look to be over already. We are more than capable of competing in the league however, but need to start showing our credentials.
Mertesacker spoke after the game against the Greek side, and claims the upcoming game is a good chance to bounce back.
“We have got a couple of days to look back on that performance,” Mertesacker said (via the Express).
“I think everyone will have regrets and it is good to take that away.

“It will take a couple of days to recover and to think about Manchester United and play in a different competition, which will be a good opportunity to come back to the Emirates and play our football with possession and dynamism.”
The giant German is likely to start the game this weekend, with Laurent Koscielny suffering a hamstring injury during the game against Olympiacos (via Arsenal.com).
