It’s been an entertaining season for Arsenal so far under Unai Emery, especially for the neutral fans.
The Gunners have scored and conceded a lot of goals in their matches this year but finally secured their first clean sheet of the campaign on Sunday afternoon.
The 2-0 victory over Everton was much needed and now, Arsenal star Rob Holding has revealed what it meant to the squad to get that first clean sheet.
“Yeah, we’ve obviously conceded in each game so the clean sheet is a big boost for us and that was the target for the last few games, to keep a clean sheet,” Holding said after the match,
“It’s good to get that off our back now and we can push on for the rest of the season.

“We knew it would be [hard]. Everton have had a good start to the season and they’ve got pace on the counter-attack and strength, so we had to be careful when we’re attacking because they are a threat.
“But we managed to deal with it and got our first clean sheet of the season which is big.”
It was an important result for the Gunners. The first half performance was woeful at times but the Gunners stayed in the game and got the goals when they needed to.
