Wojciech Szczesny has hit out at the media following a string of ridiculous rumours, with the Pole putting paid to a number of stories linking him with moves away, as reported by Goal.
As the report suggests, recent stories have linked Szczesny with a move to Everton, confirmed that he has decided against remaining in Rome permanently, and that he’d be returning to the Emirates to replace David Ospina (via Mirror).
Szczesny has clearly rubbished all these reports, and doesn’t appear too happy with the shoddy media work that’s going on.
“Gotta love the media. Reporting on 3 completely diiferent [sic] stories regarding my future in a space of 24 hours, saying there’s been a ‘change of heart’, ‘U-turn’ and ‘turnaround’. The only U-turn there’s ever been is in your rubish [sic] reporting skills,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
Regardless of whether the rumours have any truth in them or not, it would be a shame to see Szczesny leave the club permanently – especially to join a Premier League rival.
It would be nice to see him return to Arsenal to deputise for Petr Cech, as if he can learn a thing or two from the Czech international he could still become a top quality keeper. Szczesny’s shortcomings have always seemed mental rather than physical, and if he can cut the silly mistakes out of his game then there’s an excellent base there to work with.

He’s still incredibly young in goalkeeping terms, so it’s not like there’s no time for him to improve further. It would be a shame to give up on him after we invested so heavily in him, but he needs to be ready to sit patiently behind Cech and wait for his chance.
