Arsenal star Stephan Lichtsteiner has claimed that it will be difficult for the Gunners to win the Europa League but thinks the club can do it (via vbetnews).
It’s been a good few months for Arsenal in their two-fronted quest for Champions League qualification.
Getting back into Europe’s premier club competition was always going to be Unai Emery’s chief aim in his first season at the Emirates.
Well, the Gunners are fourth in the Premier League table and into the Europa League quarter-finals, something which full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner commented on.
“We are very close and we’re in a good situation,” Lichtsteiner told vbetnews.com.

“We are in the Europa League and in fourth place still so it’s our opportunity to be there. It’s difficult but we can do it.”
Lichtsteiner was speaking while away with the Swiss national team as the international break comes to an end. When it does, Arsenal have a tough couple of weeks as they attempt to achieve a top-four place in the Premier League as well as progressing in the Europa League. It will be tough to complete both and perhaps these next few weeks will decide which competition Arsenal should focus on.
