Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been excellent this season, and was vitally important during a period of crippling injuries in the team. We have struggled at times and find ourselves some way off the pace, but the return of players like Mesut Özil, Theo Walcott, and Aaron Ramsey could ignite a title push, according to the 21-year-old on Arsenal’s official website.

All three players have missed massive chunks of the season, with Walcott in particular playing almost no part in the first half of the 2014/15 campaign. The trio were all involved in our FA Cup 3-2 win over Brighton last Sunday however, with Özil and Walcott finding themselves on the scoresheet.
The Ox has been buoyed by the return of his Arsenal teammates, and believes we can push on in the second half of the season and really achieve something.
“For a large majority of the season we have been without Mesut, and Aaron for a spell and Theo as well,” he said.
“To have those kinds of players back is only good for us, and I’m sure they’ll come back and play a massive role in the rest of our season.

“It has been a bit of a strange up-and-down season. There have definitely been better starts but as you look at it at the moment, we are still there or thereabouts and there is still a lot of football to be played.”
“We are still in a really good place in the Champions League, still in the FA Cup and in the league it is tight at the top around the teams in third, fourth and fifth.
“Chelsea have a little lead on everyone, but in terms of football to be played I think it’s quite exciting to think how the back end of the season could go.”
With the exception of our disappointing Capital One Cup exit earlier in the season, we have left ourselves in a good position for a late push.
We have come through some difficult periods with an injury plagued squad, and finally look to have some strength in depth. If we can keep our key players injury free for the remainder of the campaign, then there is no reason we can’t mount title challenges on multiple fronts.
