Alexis Sanchez has been a revelation since he arrived at the Emirates last season, and has been rewarded for his fine form with a rather prestigious reward. The Chilean has been named the Football Supporters’ Federation’s Player of the Year, beating the likes of Sergio Aguero, David de Gea, and eventual runner-up Jamie Vardy, as reported by The Evening Standard.
The 26-year-old was our top scorer last season, and despite being far from his best this season he has still been key to our campaign. His recent injury was and is a massive blow, and we need to get him back and firing as soon as possible.
He’s more than deserving of the FSF’s PotY award, and there are very few players who have come even close to matching him over the last 12 months. He is clearly elated with the award, and is hopeful that he can return to action to help our cause soon.
“I’m delighted to receive the FSF Player of the Year award. Personally, it’s been a great 2015 for me on the pitch with both my club and country,” he said.
“Arsenal have enjoyed a good start to the season and it was disappointing to pick up an injury. But I’m hoping to be back soon to help my team-mates have another successful year.”
Thankfully we’ve still got Mesut Özil, who has arguably been just as vital to the team over the last 12 months. He came back from his injury last season looking like a new man, and looks to have really settled into the English game. He’s really in the form of his career, and it’s only a matter of time before he starts getting recognised for it with awards of his own.

With Alexis and Özil both fit and on song we have an excellent chance of lifting more silverware come the end of the season, so fingers crossed we get our Player of the Year back soon and keep our playmaker extraordinaire fit for the remainder of the campaign.
