Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin can continue to brag about being faster than Theo Walcott after football video game giants Pro Evolution Soccer had the Spaniard topping their speed rankings, The Evening Standard reports.
Bellerin is currently the fastest player at our club – at least that’s what the numbers show – and the former Barcelona man takes advantage of each opportunity to remind Walcott of that fact.
“It was very close last year but this year I beat Theo by more of a distance. He won’t tell you that, though,” Bellerin was quoted as saying last month (via the Mirror).
PES 2016 have obviously done their research and took Bellerin’s word for it as he ranks above Walcott and Bayern Munich’s Arjen Robben in the top three.
Arsenal news & rumours
It’s been an incredible 12 months for Bellerin, with his rise through the ranks one of the success stories of last season after what was a shaky Champions League debut.
- Arsenal must outmanoeuvre Galatasaray to win race for £2m ‘bargain’ transfer
- Arsenal reportedly set to sign free agent after impressive trial
- Arsenal have ‘concrete interest’ in signing Bayern Munich II star
He looked out of his depth against Borussia Dortmund but showed wonderful character to bounce back and show amazing consistency.
With a senior professional in Mathieu Debuchy waiting in the wings, Bellerin cannot afford to rest on his laurels in our hugely competitive squad.
