Alex Iwobi is one of the more promising talents to come out of our academy recently, which is why it’s such fantastic news that he has committed his future to the club, as reported by the Daily Mail.
The 19-year-old is determined to succeed at the club, and is keen to break into the first team. He may have to wait however, as the report suggests he is likely to be sent out on loan this season.
The Mail claims he could leave the club as early as this month, with first team football his main priority.
The teenager took to Twitter to announce his new deal, and is pictured below with Arsene Wenger and his family.

Iwobi was excellent for the youth teams last season, and deservedly got a number of chances to show his quality with the first team in pre-season. He grabbed the opportunities with both hands, and it’s actually surprising he is yet to feature this campaign.

He has made the bench on a number of occasions, but is yet to be handed a senior appearance; which makes it understandable that he’d want to secure a loan.

He looks more than capable of blossoming into a top quality player, and hopefully a spell on loan will give him the experience needed to thrive in the Premier League.
