The Arsenal boys were hard at work in training for our clash with Liverpool, and look to be in confident mood ahead of our trip to Anfield.
The likes of Per Mertesacker and Mesut Özil – who were handed rests during the weekend’s FA Cup clash with Sunderland – look set to be back in action, with the rejuvenated German duo taking part in training with the rest of the team.
There’s still no sign of Alexis Sanchez unfortunately, with the Chilean still seemingly a game or two away from a return from his hamstring injury (via Arsenal.com).
It’s great to see Tomas Rosicky return to training though, as the Czech international has been absent for most of the season. It seems unlikely that he’ll play a part this week, but he might make the bench.

We’ve shown consistently this season that we’ve got what it takes to be Premier League champions, but a tricky trip to Anfield will certainly test us. Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp have looked excellent at times, but they’ve been totally lacking consistency. We’ve seen them lose 3-0 to Watford, then destroy Manchester City and Southampton 4-1 and 6-1 respectively.

We’re top of the table for a reason though, and we’re more than capable of getting the win over the Reds. Arsene Wenger rested a few key stars over the weekend in anticipation of this game, something Liverpool can’t afford to do with all their injuries.
