Arsenal have been handed yet another boost in our reported attempts to land Karim Benzema with reports in Spain suggesting that Rafael Benitez wants to bring Alvaro Morata back to Real Madrid, according to AS.
This comes after Kike Marin from El Confidencial reported that Benzema was Arsene Wenger’s primary target in the central striker position this summer.

Much has been made of Benitez’s plans and it seems as though that each managerial change results in rumours surrounding Benzema’s future.
However, the history of the Spanish giants suggests that they’re always open to selling some top talent with Gonzalo Higuain, Morata and Mesut Ozil all leaving over the past few years.

AS previously reported that the former Liverpool boss plans to move Ronaldo into a centre-forward role with Benzema relegated to the bench and should he add Morata, then the Frenchman’s future will seriously be called into question.
The striker position is an area we should definitely look at this summer and is one of a few missing pieces in the jigsaw for a potential title challenge.
We lack a player in that position with a similar pedigree to our main title rivals and we must address that deficiency to have a realistic hope of claiming our first league title since 2004.
