Arsenal have been handed a double injury blow with reports that Santi Cazorla is out for the season while Mohamed Elneny will miss the next three weeks.
Football.london claim that Cazorla has no chance of playing again this campaign and is instead now focusing on attempting to be fit for the start of next season.
The midfielder has been out of action since October with an Achilles problem which required surgery, but has suffered further setbacks in his recovery.
The news will be a huge, if unsurprising, blow to Arsenal. Cazorla is such an important figure for the team but has really struggled with injury in recent seasons, leaving his future at the club in doubt.
Although Arsenal have exercised a clause in his contract which will keep him at the club until 2018, there must now be genuine fears over whether he will play for the club again.
Elneny, meanwhile, is reportedly out for three weeks after having picked up an ankle problem in the FA Cup fifth round win over Sutton United.

The Egypt international will now miss the Premier League clash with Liverpool as well as the Champions League return against Bayern Munich leaving Arsenal once against short of options in central midfield.
With Aaron Ramsey also still out, the Gunners have just Francis Coquelin and Granit Xhaka as established central midfielders although Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has filled in recently to good effect.
However, it is not all bad news for Arsenal on the injury front. Alex Iwobi, Laurent Koscielny and Mesut Ozil are all expected back in training this week, with the Gunners also having the luxury of a rare weekend off before they return to action against Liverpool.
