We have recently been credited with an interest in Valencia left-back Jose Luis Gaya, with Arsene Wenger still keen on bringing in some defensive reinforcements. He would surely be keen on a move away from the La Liga side, with the Spaniard currently on a minuscule £2900 per week, according to Spanish publication Super Deportes.
Wenger was reportedly looking to activate the youngsters release clause, but faced competition from Real Madrid.
The 19-year-old is highly regarded in Spain, and is considered to be one of the best prospects in La Liga football.
With his release clause believed to be somewhere in the region of £13.5m, he certainly wouldn’t be cheap. But if he continues to improve at the meteoric rate he has been, then it could prove to be a bargain in the long run.

Valencia are keen to tie him down to a new deal, but no matter the contract they are unlikely to match the wages we or Real Madrid could offer. The talented defender may be keen to move on if he can find a better deal elsewhere, with the Emirates surely an appealing destination.
