Arsene Wenger is allegedly keen on bringing Hull City’s Andy Robertson to the Emirates this summer, but is likely to be turned off by the massive £30m price tag that Steve Bruce has slapped on his head, as reported by the Daily Star.

Brazilian forward chooses Arsenal, despite interest from Premier League rivals
Robertson arrived at Hull last summer for just £2.85m (via the Star), and he immediately looked a bargain. He has shown glimpses of real quality in the Premier League this past season, and at just 21-years-old he is a potential star of the future.
He is solid defensively, but excels getting forward from left-back or left wing-back. He would be another addition to our British core, and would be the first Scottish member.
Bruce claims he is going nowhere though, and compared him to Manchester United’s Luke Shaw – who went for £30m from Southampton last summer.
“Luke Shaw went from Southampton to Manchester United after just one season in the top flight for £30m, and I rate Andy on a par with him as a young player with bags of ability and potential,” Bruce is quoted as saying by the Star.
“We have already had calls from clubs asking to be kept informed about his situation, and it might become inevitable that he goes.
“I’ve heard people talking about it taking £12m to buy him.

Bruce is obviously trying to force the young defender’s price up, and if he does leave he will surely go for far less than £30m. Manchester United paid far too much for Shaw, and we are unlikely to do the same for Robertson.
He could still cost us a huge amount if we are really looking to bring him to the Emirates though, especially as the Star report we are competing with Chelsea for his signature.
