We have been linked with a somewhat surprising move for Marseille duo Andre Pierre Gignac (via the Express) and Andre Ayew (via the Daily Mail) this summer, and most fans will be hoping Arsene Wenger is aiming higher.
Thankfully we almost certainly won’t see both players arriving at the club though, as the pair have have clearly fallen out with each other. Gignac has lashed out at his Marseille teammate, apparently branding him a “motherf***er”, as reported by the Daily Star.
The big French forward clearly doesn’t get on with Andre Ayew or his brother Jordan, and claims he will be glad to see the back of both men. He directed an astonishing tirade at the pair, the likes of which you rarely see from a professional footballer.
This revelation surely makes it impossible for the two men to play together next season, so you would expect one – or both – of them to leave Marseille in the coming months.
André Pierre Gignac on André Ayew, per France Football: “A motherf***er, he should get lost. With his brother, all they did was moan.”

Both Ayew (via the Star) and Gignac (via the Mirror) are available on free transfers this summer, and could prove a bargain signing for some teams. We should be targeting players of far higher quality though, and it would be hugely disappointing to see either player arrive at the Emirates.
Gignac scored a not unimpressive 21 league goals this season in Ligue 1, but we need to be looking to sign a player who is a significant upgrade on what we already have at our disposal.
