FC Porto president Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa recently claimed that one of our top targets – Jackson Martinez – was set to complete a move to AC Milan (via The Guardian). It looked as though the deal was sealed, but Martinez’s agent has insisted that nothing is final yet.
The 28-year-old has been prolific in the Portuguese league, and is looking to test himself on a larger stage after confirming his Porto exit (via talkSPORT).
The Colombian is currently on international duty for the Copa America, but a move looks inevitable on his return.
His agent insists that he is fully focused on Colombia, and claims that no one else will be speaking on his client’s future.
“Jackson didn’t say anything about Milan because there was no need to. Nothing has been decided yet,” agent Luiz Henrique Pompeo said, as quoted by the Express.

“I am the only person who will speak about this during the tournament.
“Jackson is not just sitting around on his couch at home. He is concentrated on his work with Colombia in the Copa America.
“This is his absolute priority right now and I can say he is absolutely relaxed.”
The Express claims we have already made Martinez a big offer, but nothing is finalised yet. If an offer has actually been made, then it would be hugely disappointing if we missed out on him to Milan. Not so much because we would be missing out on him, but at the thought of him voluntarily choosing the Serie A side – who aren’t even in the Champions League – over us.
