Arsenal are prepared to make a £30m move for Julian Draxler when the transfer window reopens in January, according to the Sunday Express.
The Gunners have long been linked with a move for the Wolfsburg star who was dropped from the squad for Saturday’s 5-0 thrashing by Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena.
Draxler was denied a move away from the club in the summer but has reiterated his desire to leave the club again recently, after being booed by his own fans.
Wolfsburg have hinted they may finally be ready to sell the Germany international with the club enduring a tough season and just two points off the bottom of the Bundesliga.
The report claims Draxler is almost certain to be sold when the transfer window reopens with Wenger willing to spend big to finally land his man.
The Gunners are reportedly keen to strengthen this winter in a bid to maintain their title challenge and to give the side a boost after huge speculation over the futures of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez who are still yet to renew their current deals.

Arsenal have been warned off a move for Draxler in recent days by Lothar Matthaus who has described Draxler as a “weak character” and not good enough for a top club.
Recent events suggest it is highly likely that Draxler will leave Wolfsburg this winter, or at the very latest this summer, and Wenger’s interest in the player is well-known.
Arsenal are unlikely to be the only club interested in the 23-year-old although if Ozil and Sanchez are after a statement of intent before signing their new deals, signing Draxler would surely provide it.
