Reports in France indicate that Arsenal will sign Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette ‘in the coming days’ with a €60 million fee being touted (via the Metro).
It’s exactly the sort of news which many Arsenal fans needed. After a topsy-turvy summer transfer window which has seen reports of Kylian Mbappe coming in and Alexis Sanchez going out, it seems that the Gunners fans will finally have some clarity.
Reports in France indicate that Alexandre Lacazette will sign for Arsenal ‘in the coming days.’
The claims come from French publication l’Equipe which also cites a fee of €60 million, or around £52 million.
It would obviously be a new club record sum for a transfer, far eclipsing the £42.5 million Arsenal paid Real Madrid for Mesut Ozil back in 2013.
It’s a signing which would please many Arsenal fans. The Gunners have needed a top striker for several years and Lacazette’s track record speaks for itself.

The 26-year-old has scored an average of 29 goals in the last four seasons and got a mightily impressive 37 last term in all competitions.
He’s something a little different to what Arsenal have up front right now and his potential signing will surely improve the team. Hopefully, things will get wrapped up pretty quickly and the forward can embed into the squad ahead of the start of pre-season later this month.
