It’s becoming more and more apparent that Arsene Wenger is desperate to sign Monaco winger Thomas Lemar.
The 21-year-old impressed immensely for the Ligue 1 champions and it seems that Lemar has caught the eye of Arsene Wenger who seems him as a perfect addition to his squad.
News broke in the last 24 hours that Arsenal had made a third bid for the midfielder of around €50 million which was rejected by the French side.
Now, new reports suggest that Arsenal are ready to go back in for the midfielder with a new offer of €55+ million.

- Arsenal reportedly set to sign free agent after impressive trial
- Arsenal have ‘concrete interest’ in signing Bayern Munich II star
The report comes from l’Equipe and while a definite figure is not specified, the French publication believes that it would have to be a huge bid to tempt Monaco into selling.
Manager Leonardo Jardim has already lost a number of key players to Premier League sides. Bernardo Silva and Benjamin Mendy have joined Manchester City, while Tiemene Bakayoko has joined Chelsea. He’ll obviously not want to lose anymore.
It remains to be seen whether or not Arsenal and Monaco can agree to this transfer. Thomas Lemar is an excellent player who would be a great addition to the Gunners squad and it’s up to the club to sort things out. Monaco obviously don’t want to sell and it could take a large transfer sum to make it happen. Hopefully, the Gunners will put up the cash to get their man.
