Arsenal are planning on making a move to sign Valencia left-back Jose Gaya in the summer, according to The Mirror.
Arsene Wenger is lining up the highly-rated 21-year-old, in what the report claims is a clear indication that he is planning for next season already, despite having yet to agree a new contract.
The Gunners are believed to be keen to strengthen at left-back where Nacho Monreal is currently first choice with Kieran Gibbs as back-up.
However, Gibbs is one of a host of Arsenal players about to enter the last 18 months of his current deal and he has not yet been offered an extension.
Gaya is widely regarded as one of the top talents in his position in Europe and could be tempted away with Valencia having sold their top stars in recent seasons.
Shkodran Mustafi was lured away from Valencia to the Gunners only last season and has been a huge hit since moving to the Premier League.

Gaya is a fairly attack-minded left-back, who originally started out as a striker, and who has represented Spain at every level, apart from the full senior squad.
The youngster has been with Valencia since the age of 11 and made his debut for the club at 17 in a Copa del Rey clash before making his La Liga debut in April 2014.
Gaya certainly looks a huge talent and would surely be an exciting signing for the Gunners alongside Hector Bellerin, Mustafi and Koscielny in defence.
