Arsenal have been told to make a “crazy offer” to land Torino full-back Matteo Darmian by the club’s president with Arsene Wenger and Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal reportedly interested, the Daily Star reports.
“We’re in a condition where we can keep hold of our players – we have no problems with the balance sheet,” Urbano Cairo told Tuttosport.
“If Darmian would like to stay then Torino will never sell him, but if he were to signal a desire to leave and if there were to be a crazy offer for him, we might sell.
“But I’ve not received anything yet.”
We were reported to have been lining up a bid in the region of £11million for the 25-year-old last week, as per the Daily Star, but it would take an offer more significant than that to land Darmian.
Constantly being linked with full-backs is an odd one given the number of options we have in that position. Hector Bellerin, Mathieu Debuchy and Calum Chambers have all filled in at right-back over the course of the season and their immediate future seems secure.

Arsenal transfer rumours
Chambers and Debuchy arrived last summer whilst academy graduate Bellerin has recently been offered a new long-term contract according to Wenger (via Arsenal Player).
Darmian has been a regular for Torino this season, making 29 appearances, however his potential arrival would be a huge surprise given our needs in other areas of the pitch.
