Arsene Wenger is currently on the lookout for potential summer acquisitions, and young French forward Sehrou Guirassy has apparently attracted his attention, according to ESPN.
The 20-year-old has been superb for Ligue 2 side Auxerre this season, where he is currently on loan from French top flight side Lille. He’s scored eight goals in 16 appearances, and the fact that he plays many games as a winger rather than a striker makes that record all the more impressive.
He’s only recently joined Lille, but the relative minnow status of the club means they couldn’t really afford to turn down a bid that would make them a decent profit.
Playing for Arsenal under Arsene Wenger would no doubt be incredibly appealing to the youngster, so it shouldn’t be too hard to convince him that London is the best place to further his career.
Wenger has apparently been monitoring the youngster for a while, and has instructed his scouts to keep a close eye on his situation. Scouts have been sent to watch him recently, and a bid doesn’t seem out of the question.

Guirassy may well turn out to be the next big thing, but we desperately need players capable of making an immediate impact, not stars of the future.
