Arsenal target and Montpellier winger Younes Belhanda looks to be heading away from the French club, after the club authorities confirmed they have had firm offers for the gifted star.
Montpellier chairman Louis Nicollin has not revealed the identities of the clubs who have tabled bids for the 23-year-old.Belhanda has been linked with a move to the Premier League for some time, with Aston Villa and Tottenham also believed to be keen.
Montpellier have staved off interest for the winger for quite some time now, but now the appear resigned to losing their star man this summer. Indeed, club president Laurent Nicollin has revealed on the club’s official Twitter account that there are two bids on the table.
According to London24 ,Louis Nicollin said ,‘we have 2 concrete offers for Y. Belhanda with whom we are in agreement, it is up to the player to choose’.
Earlier this week, Belhanda said:
Nothing has been decided yet. My club wants €15million and not many teams can pay that.
I have always said that my preference would be England, but if they can’t agree a price with my current club then I will not go there.
The Morocco international finished as the joint leading goalscorer last season with 10 goals from midfield, a tally matched by striker Souleymane Camara. The 23-year-old also collected seven yellow and two red cards as a disappointing title defence saw Montpellier end up in ninth place, 31 points behind champions Paris Saint-Germain.
Belhanda is certainly a dangerman he combines great passing, and vision with superb control and skill. He can sit back and be the creative architect or he can surge forward, direct and supremely dangerous with the ball at his feet.

Younes Belhanda is exactly the kind of flair player that Arsenal have been missing since the fall from grace of Andrey Arshavin and the departure of Samir Nasri. Belhanda is exactly the kind of addition Wenger needs to make this summer.
Belhanda would probably be used as cover for Santi Cazorla at the club because they are similar players. He can also play on either wing, so would be a handy and versatile addition. Arsenal have been tracking Belhanda for a couple of seasons now and with Montpellier missing out on European football this is the chance for Arsenal to sign him up with just a little over €10million would be enough to force them into selling.
What do you think Arsenal fans, would Younes Belhanda be a useful addition to the Arsenal squad?
