Arsenal concluded the signing of Romania U16 captain Vlad Dragomir today and the teenager will join up with our development squads next season (via The Guardian).
This deal could’ve been pushed by Andries Jonker, our ‘head of academy’, and it will be interesting to see which one of our academy squads he features in most.

RB) Hector Bellerin
Already an established first team regular, Bellerin is an inspiration to those currently in the development squads having made the hard journey himself. Arriving at the age of 15 from Barcelona, the 20-year-old has catapulted his career over the past eight months.
CB) Calum Chambers
Arriving in one of our biggest ever deals financially is a challenge for any youngster, but Chambers took the challenge in his stride and impressed in an unfamiliar centre-back role. That is where his future certainly lies.
CB) Isaac Hayden
Our U21 skipper and a player highly regarded by Arsene Wenger, Hayden impressed in the league cup fixture against Southampton in September. He has since been struggling with injury and could be set for a breakthrough season next year.
LB) Julio Pleguezuelo
Another one plucked from Barcelona famed La Masia academy, Pleguzuelo is certainly aiming to follow in the footsteps of his compatriot Bellerin. Able to play anywhere across the back four, the future is bright for the 18-year-old.
