The new Arsenal 2013/14 away kit has been officially unveiled at a launch event at Emirates featuring the clubs British stars on a massive 39m x 13m image across the face of the Stadium.
The new look Nike yellow and blue kit features a swag blue polo-style collared shirt to reflect the urban London High Street style with deep blue cuffs on the sleeves. The shorts are a simple blue while the new away socks feature the traditional Arsenal hoop sock design in blue and yellow as per last seasons away kit, again replicating the 1930s Herbert Chapman style.
Although it appears to be a more formal shirt, Arsenal’s stars will be sporting the contemporary kit this summer on the upcoming preseason Asia Tour. Nike have also continued to integrate their usual technological features such as their Dri-FIT technology which draws sweat away from the body to keep players cool and dry. Each kit (shirt and shorts) is made using up to 13 recycled plastic water bottles.
Check out some of the photos of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Kieran Gibbs, Carl Jenkinson, Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott and Jack Wilshere all sporting the new-look strip from Arsenal’s official website:
Theo Walcott revealed his affection for the new shirt:
The kit looks and feels great. Arsenal is synonymous with yellow and blue and I think this new design fuses that tradition with a modern twist. I can’t wait to get out on the pitch and wear it!
Those wishing to sport some T.B.S (top button swag) can order the kit through Kitbag. Once the kit is released we will endeavor to bring you a price guide to help you secure the best deal.
