After back-to-back defeats in the Premier League, Arsenal play five matches which will shape their season and, perhaps, the future of Arsene Wenger. After a Premier League matchup with Hull City, the Gunners travel to Munich for the first leg of the Champions League tie against Bayern. Next is the FA Cup matchup with Sutton United, then a Premier League clash at Anfield before the return leg against Bayern.
It’s a crucial month and Arsene Wenger has started it off by welcoming back Mohamed Elneny to his first-team squad.
“From last Saturday we have Elneny back available in the squad,” Wenger said in his pre-match press conference. “He trained yesterday with the team.
“He’s fully focused and as always, a fantastic player with a great mentality. He is disappointed that [Egypt] lost in the final but we had a quality session yesterday.

“Apart from that, we have the question about Hector Bellerin. He’s going for tests and the process every day and we’ll only know tomorrow if he gets the green light from the medical people to practice or not. At the moment he has not practised.”
It’s good to see Mohamed Elneny back in the picture. Even without the current mini-crisis in the centre of Arsenal’s midfield, the Egyptian is a very useful player to the squad. Hopefully, both he and Hector Bellerin will take to the pitch on Saturday as both look to lock down places in the team ahead of this crucial run of fixtures.
