Arsenal v Liverpool
Barclays Premier League
Emirates Stadium
Kick off: November 2, 2013 5:30 PM BST
Both teams applied good pressure in the early goings, working hard to get the ball back as soon as it was lost. Possession not easy to come by, but both teams playing a good passing game.
The deadlock didn’t last long. Arteta released Sagna down the wing, he whipped a good cross in, Cazorla headed it goalwards, but it hit the post. The rebound fell straight back to the Spaniard though, who smashed it in to make it 1-0.

Liverpool had a couple of chances. A tactical foul by an experienced Sagna on Suarez, Liverpool scored off the quick free kick, but Martin Atkinson had already blown for the ball to be pulled back. And a tame shot right at Szczesny, after far too much space was given to Henderson as he strode towards the Arsenal goal.
Cazorla and Giroud were outstanding in the first half, the Frenchman’s hold up play causing Liverpool a lot of problems, and the Spaniard asking questions of the oppositions Belgian shot stopper. Ramsey was getting into good positions, but needed a better final ball on a couple of occasions.
By no means an easy game, we have to keep up our pressing, and stay sharp defensively as Sturridge and Suarez are capable of moments of magic. But we look good for our lead, and the more likely of the two teams to get the next goal.
