Arsenal have a few pre-season games under their belt now (let’s not mention that Chelsea game okay?) and now the Gunners are back on home soil for the annual Emirates Cup tournament at the Emirates Stadium with Arsene Wenger’s men hosting Sevilla on Sunday afternoon.
It might be surprising to know that Arsenal and Sevilla don’t have much history playing against each other, infant the two have only met competitively twice back in the Champions League in 2007 – Arsenal won the home game 3-0 and subsequently lost 3-1 away in Spain. Flash forward 10 years and drawing comparisons on those two games would be unfair, but at the same time all the pressure will be on the Gunners to impress the home crowd with the Premier League season fast approaching.
Interestingly this will be Arsenal’s second game in 24 hours as they play host to Portuguese giants Benfica on Saturday afternoon before Sevilla on Sunday (both kick-offs at 16:20 BST).
If you want to make things more interesting you can get huge odds of 30/1 on the Gunners to come out victorious at the Emirates Stadium, via Paddy Power bookmaker – claim this limited time 30/1 offer here.
