Arsenal host West Bromwich Albion in our final Premier League game of the season, and after a few disappointing results it’s imperative we end the league season on a high ahead of the FA Cup final.
This fixture could be good practise for Wembley next week, considering our last few Premier League opponents have adopted similar tactics – which they’ve been successful in.
Tony Pulis has got his side well-drilled and fully operating in his image; and they will be full of confidence after beating champions Chelsea last week.
Here are three key battles which could determine the outcome of the fixture.
3. Laurent Koscielny vs Saido Berahino
- Arsenal ready a £25million bid for a ‘rising star’ of Dutch football
- Arsene Wener to return to dugout since leaving Arsenal in 2018
- Arsenal target ex-midfielder transfer after four years apart
The West Brom striker tore Chelsea apart last week after netting a brace, and is ending the season in similar fashion to the way he started it.
In Koscielny however, he’ll be coming up against a defender who enjoys the confrontation with strikers aiming to beat him for pace while in possession of the ball.
If our French linchpin comes out on top, we’re almost there in terms of keeping a clean sheet.
